Yes. Newberry Academy core academic curriculum in Language, Math, Science, and History is secular.

Bible curriculum is offered separately as an elective so families can choose whether to include religious study.

No. The curriculum is designed to provide the teaching, practice, review, and activities students need without depending on daily internet lessons, YouTube videos, or QR-code instruction.

Digital ebooks do require internet access to obtain the file initially, but the lessons themselves are designed for offline use.

Yes. Families can purchase individual subjects instead of a complete grade-level bundle.

This works well for families supplementing another curriculum, replacing one subject, or using different grade levels for different subjects.

Kindergarten uses three core books:

✓ Combined Science & History

Science and History are intentionally combined into one Kindergarten book.

In Grades 1–3, Language is separated into Reading & Phonics and Spelling & Vocabulary.

Families can purchase either book separately or use both together for the full Language program.

Core bundles include the grade-level Language, Math, Science, and History curriculum.

Kindergarten is different because Science and History are combined, giving Kindergarten a three-book core bundle.

Grades 1–3 use five physical books because Language is split into Reading & Phonics and Spelling & Vocabulary.

Families in elementary and middle school can choose between a standard core bundle and a Core + Health bundle where available.

Health is also available separately through the Health Curriculum page.

No. High school core bundles contain the four core academic subjects only: Language, Math, Science, and History.

High School Health is available separately as an elective.

Bundles are designed to give families purchasing multiple core subjects a better overall value than buying each included subject separately.

Newberry Academy offers electives across Health, Bible, Penmanship, life skills, careers, business, finance, technology, coding, engineering, literature, communication, math, science, history, humanities, art, test preparation, and world languages.

No. Bible is a separate elective and is not included in the secular core academic curriculum.

Bible curriculum is available from Kindergarten through 12th Grade.

Cursive Writing is available for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade.

Second-grade families may choose Handwriting Practice, Cursive Writing, or both.

Yes. A purchasing household may print reasonable copies of purchased digital curriculum for use by children within that household.

Digital files may not be shared, resold, uploaded, distributed, or copied for use by other households.

Yes. Families may use Newberry Academy as their primary curriculum or purchase individual subjects and electives to supplement another homeschool program.

Yes. Homeschool families often choose subjects based on the level of work that best fits the individual student rather than requiring every subject to be from the same grade.

Newberry Academy curriculum is designed with parent support in mind. Where a Parent Guide accompanies a course, it is created to match the student material and provide teaching support, directions, and answers.
