About the Founder
Meet Demaris Newberry
Newberry Academy grew from a desire to create homeschool curriculum that is clear, organized, thorough, and genuinely useful to both students and parents.
The goal is simple: teach students before asking them to work independently, build skills in a logical order, provide meaningful practice, and support growing confidence from Preschool through 12th Grade.
Every Newberry Academy course is developed with homeschool families in mind, with an emphasis on clear instruction, practical structure, thoughtful review, and learning that does not depend on daily online lessons.
Why Newberry Academy Was Created
Homeschool parents need more than pages of assignments. They need curriculum that actually teaches the material, gives students meaningful practice, builds on previous learning, and provides enough support for real understanding.
Newberry Academy was built around a simple instructional sequence: teach first, practice second, apply what was learned, review important skills, and assess understanding.

Secular Core Academics
Newberry Academy core academic curriculum in Language, Math, Science, and History is secular. Bible curriculum is offered separately as an elective so families can decide whether religious study is part of their homeschool program.
Preschool Through 12th Grade
Newberry Academy gives families one place to explore curriculum from the preschool years through high school.
Families can choose individual core subjects, grade-level bundles, Health, Bible, Penmanship, electives, and practical homeschool resources based on what works best for their students.
