Help students understand their bodies, build healthy habits, make thoughtful choices, and develop practical health knowledge they can use in everyday life. Choose the level that matches your child's grade range.
Newberry Academy Health courses are organized by age and developmental level. Each course builds practical knowledge through clear teaching, meaningful activities, review, and age-appropriate health education.
A gentle introduction to health for younger learners, with clear lessons and hands-on activities that help children begin understanding their bodies, healthy habits, safety, emotions, nutrition, and everyday wellness.
As students grow, health education becomes more detailed. This course helps elementary students understand healthy choices, body systems, nutrition, fitness, safety, emotional health, and personal wellness.
Middle school students explore health in greater depth while learning how daily choices can affect physical, emotional, and social well-being. The course supports growing independence and responsible decision-making.
High school students study health through a more mature and practical lens, building knowledge they can carry into adulthood. Topics support informed choices, personal responsibility, and lifelong wellness.
Health is offered as an elective course and can be used alongside the Newberry Academy core curriculum. Elementary and middle school families can also choose bundle options that include Health where available.
Health education should help students understand more than vocabulary and facts. Newberry Academy Health encourages students to connect what they learn with real choices, habits, safety, personal care, and the responsibility that comes with growing independence.
Newberry Academy Health is part of our secular curriculum. Religious instruction is not included in Health. Bible curriculum is available separately as an elective for families who choose it.
